Every month, Sila will guide you on a new journey, offering opportunities to connect with nature, learn fascinating facts, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. From botanical gems to curious creatures, there's so much to uncover in our Gardens - what will you find?

Family Explorers: Summer Senses

Join us on a ‘slow walk’ adventure using your senses to tune in and make new nature discoveries. Can you see the biggest tree, hear the leaves rustle, feel the grass between your toes or smell the fragrant flowers? There’ll be so much to record in your nature notebook using words and pictures! 

Event details:

Time: 11am - 12pm or 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Location: Meet on the Terrace.

Tickets: Participating children are required to purchase general admission tickets and the Family Explorers: Summer Senses ticket (£3). Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. General admission tickets are required for adults, but accompanying adults are not required to purchase workshop tickets.

Accessibility: This workshop is accessible via wheelchair. Please speak to a member of staff before booking to discuss any access requirements.

Weather: This event will go ahead in all but heavy persistent rain, or extreme and dangerous weather. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing to explore outdoors - and prepare to get a little messy!

Activities are suggested for children aged 4 – 10 years, but will offer enjoyment and interest for all ages.
