Take part in one of the oldest artistic traditions in the world this Summer!

Most people have different concepts about the Chinese arts painting using the Chinese paint brushes in black ink for painting initially. Far Eastern art work is totally different from the Western arts culture with ideas of ethos input in painting to produce harmony and balance for the art work. Chinese arts painting mainly use the Chinese paintbrushes to paint.

Opportunity opens to learners who wish to learn how to paint scenic Chinese paintings. The course of water colour covers painting of flowers and scenery, learners will be given a chance to learn how to use and hold the paint brushes, practice on the techniques on the paper to enable the swift, easy flow of ink from the brush naturally and tips in painting. At the end of the course, the students should be able to produce a lovely water colour Chinese painting. It is not essential to use the Chinese paintbrushes to paint, if you prefer to use your own of paintbrushes, it will be fine, but it will be more pleasing to make effort to explore the wonder of Chinese paintbrushes as you will learn more about the usage of the brushes. There should be ample time for the learners to complete art work. Paper will be supplied for painting.

Location at the Arts gallery within the botanical gardens.

Starts at 10:00 finishes at 14:15 (break of 15 minutes) on the 25th of June Saturday.
