Outdoor Yoga 19/07 has been cancelled due to the heat


Are you ready to relax & unwind in Birmingham's very own Oasis?

Nature has always been connected to Mindfullness, so we are bringing the two together. For a limited time, we have set up some Outdoor Yoga Classes for you to meditate and improve your health, surrounded by a wealth of flora at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Lead by Laura Gauntlett - the class will begin with a meditative walk followed by a full yoga session to help centre your mind and soul.

This class is open to people of all Yoga abilities, whether you can headstand like a pro - or can't tell your Sun Salutation from Sunny D. Everybody is welcome.

Who is leading the class?

Laura’s classes are both energetic and calming, she focuses on bringing you into the present moment through the practice of yoga, connecting mind and body through breath and movement. Connecting the physiological alignment and movement with the psychology of the mind, offering you the opportunity to find a deeper connection to self. While encouraging you to accept where you are today, that we are all different every time we come to the mat. Her style will encourage you to explore what works for you, to take the class at your own pace, offering options and modifications through the practice. Giving you the opportunity to slow down and check in with how you are feeling, something that often gets pushed aside in our busy lives. By giving yourself the gift of time to reconnect with yourself, you will deepen your awareness allowing you to create a more balanced, open and connected life. To be the best version of yourself.

Laura is based in Worcestershire, teaching across Stourport, Abberley and Worcester predominantly. She offers group classes, corporate yoga and wellness sessions, along with private sessions in yoga and psychological coaching.

Laura is a qualified RYT 200hr Empowerment Yoga Teacher, with additional qualifications in Yin, the Art of Assisting, Human Movement & a degree in Sports Science. She is also a ICF recognised Psychological Coach with a certified qualification in Business & Personal Coaching and a career in People & Leadership Development that focused on building self-awareness through understanding behaviours, emotional intelligence and personality. Laura is passionate about bringing psychology, movement and yogic philosophy together to help us build stronger, more flexible minds and bodies.

What you will need to bring

  • your own Yoga Mat
  • comfortable clothes
  • suitable footwear for the walk
  • a water bottle to rehydrate
  • (optional) Yoga Blocks

General Details

Classes cost £12 per person. They will be outdoor in the gardens, but a wet weather plan is in place.

The Class will begin at 09:15 and finish at 10:30. You will be welcome to enjoy the gardens once your class has finished.

Please Note: Any classes under 8 people will be rescheduled.

These classes are non-refundable.
